Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist

Quotes:
I shouldn't want the song to end. I always think of each night as a song. Or each moment as a song. But now I'm seeing that we don't live in single song. We move from song to song, from lyrics, to lyrics, from chord to chord. There is no ending here, it's an infinite playlist.
Singing in the rain, i'm singing in the rain. And it's such a f****** glorious feeling. An unexpected downpour and i am just giving myself into it. Because what the f*** else can you do? Run for cover? Shriek or curse? No-when the rain falls you just let it fall and you grin like a madman and you dance with it, because if you can make yourself happy in the rain then you are doing pretty alright in life.

"You hungry?"
She just holds her hand to her mouth and looks out the windshield.
"You thirsty?"
For all i know she's counting street lamps.
"Know any other bands playing?" Tumbleweed blowing down the armrest between us.
"Wanna watch some nuns make out?"
Am i even speaking out loud?
"Maybe see if E.T. is up for a threeway?"
This time she looks at me. And if she isn't exactly smiling, at least i think i see something there.

Summary: When Nick, a music obsessed guy sees his former girlfriend (who he's still not over) he randomly asks the girl next to him ,good girl Norah, to be his girlfriend for five minutes. After that one sudden, truely amazing kiss, their night only seems to get crazier. From there they make their ways to a drag queen club, all-night grocery stores, random hotels, and all across manhattan. As both of them are forced to face their exes of the past, questions of the future, seperating, getting back together (only to seperate once again), they realize that 1) they just might be eachother's musical soulmates and 2) the no matter what happens at the end of the night they'll never forget what happened or eachother.
Out of all the books i have read, this one is probably my favorite. It's all about living life to the fullest, having fun, being sparatic, learning from the past, and falling in love. It's funny, kind of twisted or weird, and it cusses alot but it has some good messages.

Here is the trailer of nick and norah's infinite playlist, which is based off of the book, even though they have hardly anything in common.

She said Yes
Quotes:
passage marked by Cassie from Bread for the Journey -"Without the love of our parents, sisters, brothers, spouses, lovers, and friends, we cannot live. Without love we die. Still, for many people this love comes in a very broken and limited way. It can be tainted by power plays, jealousy, resentment, vindictiveness, and even abuse. No human love is the perfect love our hearts desire, and sometimes human love is so imperfect that we can hardly recognize it as love at all"
"Don't look for human love for comfort, but seek God's love instead"-Cassie Bernall
" We could still die at any moment. I thought things would change; I thought people would be closer after going through this, and stay close. But a lot of things are still like they were. After all the excitement, a lot of people have gone right back to how they were, back into their little corners." - Crystal, a surviver of the shooting
" My death is not my own, but yours, and its significance depends on what you do with it."
This book is memoir about seventeen year old Cassie Bernall written by her mother Misty Bernall. It tells about Cassie's life and death in the columbine shooting in 1999. After coming out of a depression Cassie learned the ways of God and was commited. Even when it came down to a gun put to her head she didn't, she didnt second guess her faith. It all started when two students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, came into the school and started shooting. By the time the massacre was over when the two boys commited sucicide, 12 students and 1 teacher had been killed while many others injured.
"Cassie" by Flyleaf
The question asked in order
To save her life or take it
The answer no to avoid death
The answer yes would make it
Make it
Do you believe in God
Written on the bullet
Say yes to pull the trigger
Do you believe in God
Written on the bullet
And Cassie pulled the trigger
All heads are bowed in silence
To remember her last sentence
She answered him knowing what would happen
Her last words still hanging in the air
In the air
Do you believe in God
Written on the bullet
Say yes to pull the trigger
Do you believe in God
Written on the bullet
And Rachel pulled the trigger
How many will die
I will die
I, I will say yes
Do you believe in God
Written on the bullet
Say yes to pull the trigger
Do you believe in God
Written on the bullet
And Cassie pulled the trigger
(Do you believe)
Do you believe in God (Do you believe)
Do you believe in God (Do you believe)
Do you believe in God
And I will pull the trigger
