Allen Gordon a young teener beaner. left Aberdeen, Scotland, on a big boy ship.  His boat ran into an iceberg, and he  was the dude too still be living.  Somehow, the boat goes down and is pushed up onto an ice ledge .  At first Allen is out of it, but soon comes around and realizes that he can survive.  He lives in the upside down boat eating whale meat and rum.  He kills a polar bear that is trying to eat his guts out! then he finds a little cub.   This cub catches fish for the both of them.  During the summer he searches  for the sails of the ship.  Then he gets ready for another lonely winter with his memories of his family and his girlfriend back in Aberdeen for company not to mention his polar bear.  if i had a bear i would name it furry bear the polar bear hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
